Our family has gone here several times on holiday weekends over the years. We've been with kids of all ages (newborn through adulthood) and grandparents and everyone has a great time. The campground has lots of really fun activities planned like games, arts&crafts, family pictures, dance parties, magic shows, and comedy acts.
I would have preferred to pay less than full price, but we went the night after Christmas and drive right through with no wait about 6:30. Our 16 year old granddaughter enjoyed seeing it as she was curious and hadn't been in years. She left happy to have gone.
People complain it's just a lot of lights hung from trees and for the most part, it is. But it's still very pretty and enjoyable.
Excellent family friendly weekend getaway. The cottages are perfect for a family of 4. Yes the bedrooms are small but it is really just a place to sleep. With all of the activities and amenities (pool, mini golf, playground, etc.) we were constantly on the move and didn't need to leave the park. Staff were always friendly, helpful and willing to make our stay a great experience. For example, they'd run the train until every kid gets a turn. If you wanted to add in six flags or sightseeing you could easily make Jellystone 4-5 night stay. Only negative was I wish the cottages had curtains. The mini blinds do not block sun so be prepared to wake up with the sun.
We went for the Christmas light experience. It was a great experience. They are very creative with their scenes. We didn't do the picture with Santa or the ride through the park in the wagon.
Santa's Magical Kingdom was Amazing!! Worth the drive, going before Thanksgiving was perfect -- got to treat my children without the crowds Christmas brings. Beautiful lights, delightful staff, fun Santa and great photos! I recommend this place to everyone!
